Ken Olsen Science Center

The Ken Olsen Science Center, named for the founder of Digital Equipment Corporation and long-time Gordon College Board member, Ken Olsen, is the College’s most ambitious building endeavor to date: an 80,000 sq. ft. science and technology center at the heart of our campus.

PHASE I of the Ken Olsen Science Center opened August 2008. Phase I includes:

  • Biology , Marine Biology and Ecology classrooms, lab and office space
  • Chemistry classrooms, lab and offices space
  • Engineering Lab and Golf Lab
  • A 400-seat auditorium and several other spacious and state-of-the art meeting spaces.

PHASE II of the Ken Olsen Science Center includes classroom, lab and office space for:

  • Botany
  • Computer Science
  • Kinesiology
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Psychology

The generosity of the Stratford Foundation enabled us to complete construction of the first floor classrooms in Phase II of the Science Center! These five classrooms were opened for classes in August 2009.
