Grandparents Day 2013

The Alumni and Parent Relations Office is looking forward to hosting Gordon's first Grandparents Day on April 26, 2013! A full program has been created, including a welcome from President Michael Lindsay, our Honors Convocation, and campus tours. The schedule below is being updated weekly, and a detailed schedule, including campus locations, will be distributed on campus upon arrival.

Grandparents Day Schedule

9–9:45 a.m. Continental breakfast

9:45–10 a.m. Welcome from President D. Michael Lindsay

10:25–11:10 a.m. Honors Convocation, A.J. Gordon Memorial Chapel

11:30–12:45 p.m. Lunch in the Lane Student Center

12:45–1 p.m. Afternoon Elective Sessions Overview, various campus locations

Elective Sessions: 1–2 p.m.; 2:10–3:10 p.m.; 3:20–4:20 p.m.

Precise locations will be specified the day-of; not all electives will be available at all times. Please consult the day’s schedule when you’re on campus.

  • Computer Class, including basic skill-building and a social media “primer”
  • Fine Art Option—Barrington Center for the Arts, i.e. art gallery tour
  • Guided Campus Tours, walking and golf cart tours available
  • Visit the college Bookstore – Lane Student Center
    • The Bookstore is open from 9 a.m.–7 p.m. and may also be visited at your convenience
  • Visit Grandchild’s Hall
  • Attend a Class
