Go Film

Overview
GO FILM is a student-run video production team on campus that handles video requests from all over campus. GO FILM also produces one creative short film each semester to submit to film festivals.

Mission
GO FILM represents our vocational calling to go into the world and spread God's light. The goal of GO FILM is to use the exciting and powerful media of video and film production to convey God-honoring advertisements and promotionals that are consistent with the college's mission and conduct statements. Additionally, GO FILM's short films (similarly to Gordon's theatre productions) would seek to spark interest, and constructive thought and discussion about moral issues in our world that point to a bigger authority that is Christ, our Lord.

GO FILM - Video Production

As a production studio, GO FILM handles campus requests from departments, organizations, initiatives, ministries etc. that involve planned shooting and editing. GO FILM's purpose is not be to compete with either CET or independent vendors, but  rather to focus on streamlining and increasing production quality of student-produced media.

GO FILM creates consistent pricing and production time estimates, and divides the work according to the complexity of the project. Beginner GO FILM team members can learn from observation and guided experience while the experienced students teach and lead projects. At the beginning of each semester, GO FILM comes up with a series of intro and outro animation templates as well as title templates that allow for a consistent and immediate improvement in production quality. Finally, the equipment used for short film production could also be used for more demanding studio projects to create a truly professional level of production.

GO FILM - Festival Films
Each year GO FILM makes a creative short film worthy of film festivals (local, regional, and national). This provides Gordon students with the chance to participate in medium-scale film production, which is invaluable to those interested in pursuing team-based media-related work. GO FILM provides a structure on campus for communications majors with experience (such as those who completed the L.A. semester) to write, direct, and produce quality projects alongside of less experienced students who can get a feel for how a production team works.

GO FILM also provides the means for theatre majors who are interested in acting, and music majors interested in scoring music to work on an artistic production.
