"Raising Christian Teenagers in the Midst of a Secular World"
2014 Front Range Parents' Symposium
Front Range Christian High School, Littleton, CO
Thursday, March 13, 2014
Guest Speaker: Dr. Mark Cannister
You're invited to join us as the Gordon College Parent Symposium Series comes to Front Range Christian High School for the first time. We're inviting parents and grandparents from across Metro Denver to the Front Range Christian High School campus on Thursday March 13, 2014 to look at the topic "Raising Christian Teenagers in the Midst of a Secular Culture." Our speaker is veteran youth ministry practitioner and author, Mark Cannister. Mark's new book, Teenagers Matter is a reflection of his heart for building the faith of students. In order to raise young men and women of God in an increasingly secular society we need to see what they see and hear what they hear. We need to understand the messages encrypted in their culture and thus understand what it really being communicated to our teenagers. As parents, we must be able to navigate the troubling and confusing terrain of the the adolescent world so that we can engage the complexities of their culture and discern the soul of our teenager's world. We hope you'll join us for what will be a fascinating discussion!
The symposium will take place in the high school building of the school. Parking will be available for participants in the main parking lot. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for registration and check-in. The symposium will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m.
