Finish The Course

Back for our 12th semester here at Gordon, the Academic Support Center (ASC) and the Academic Affairs Council (AAC) invite you to join them in this finals prep initiative to “finish well, finish strong. . . . Finish the Course.”
What is Finish the Course?
Based on 2 Timothy 4:7 which reads, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” Finish the Course (FTC) is a finals time study program that was designed by a Gordon student to help fellow students prepare and study for final exams and finish their term papers. The goal of FTC is to help Gordon students face the rigors of finals as a community and develop an increased awareness of our need to depend on God.
What does Finish The Course offer?
- Daily Quiet Study Halls beginning Wednesday, May 2 through Wednesday, May 16: Alumni Reading Room on weekdays from 7–10 p.m. and Saturday, May 12 from 2–5 p.m.; These “study halls” are held in a designated quiet areas for better concentration and minimal distractions. Please turn your cell phones on silent.
- Finals Clinic in Lane, May 1–3; 12–1 p.m. The Clinic will offer “one stop shopping” for finals help and support, including a chance to consult with one of our staff members right in Lane.
- Snacks (courtesy of your faculty and staff) in the ASC beginning on Thursday, May 10 through finals.
- Daily e-mail inspiration and devotionals for encouragement and support.
- Drop-in study skills assistance or general academic support with the ASC staff between May 1–16, 8–4:30 p.m.
- Additional tutoring hours in the Writing Center; stay tuned for announcement.
