Finish The Course

Back for our 17th semester here at Gordon, The Academic Support Center (ASC) and the Academic Affairs Council (AAC) invite you to join them in this finals prep initiative to “finish well, finish strong... Finish the Course.”

Finish the Course, starting May 4, 2015

What is Finish the Course?

Based on 2 Timothy 4:7 which reads, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith,” Finish the Course (FTC) is a finals time study initiative that was designed by a Gordon student to help fellow students prepare and study for final exams and finish their term papers. The goal of FTC is to help Gordon students face the rigors of finals as a community and develop an increased awareness of our need to depend on God.

What does Finish The Course offer?

  • Finals Clinic outside the Bistro for finals help and support, including a chance to consult with one of our staff members.
  • Daily Quiet Study Halls. These “study halls” are held in the Jenks Alumni Reading Room and Chase B26, two designated quiet areas for better concentration and minimal distractions. Please turn your cell phones to silent!
  • Hot and cold drinks (courtesy of your faculty and staff!) in the ASC
  • Drop-in study skills assistance or general academic support with the ASC staff
  • Additional tutoring hours in the Writing Center

Watch for more e-mails and more information about FTC in Student News and elsewhere on campus or stop by the ASC. FTC is here for you and we want you to do finish finish your course!
