This week Blue Gate Productions of Nashville has been collaborating with industry professionals from London to LA in a collaborative workshop for "The Confession"—adapted from the novels of Amish-life writer Beverly Lewis. The final reading of the new piece will take place Sunday, September 25 at 1:30 p.m. in Black Box Theatre in the Barrington Center for the Arts. "This is a very unusual and exciting opportunity for our campus," said Jeff Miller, on-site producer. for The Confession. "Gordon theatre students have been a vital part of the workshop this week." Gordon students have shadowed the entire creative team—from script adaptor to producer to leading lady—as well as graphic design creation. In addition to the workshop reading, this week's convocation program on Friday, Sept. 23, 10:15 a.m., will feature Martha Bolton, Dan Posthuma and Wally Nason—the productions' writer, producer and composer—to speak on "Lives of Collaboration.” The Convocation talk will take place in the A.J. Gordon Memorial Chapel.

The final reading of The Confession will be free and open to the public.
