In a special Thursday recital featured in Gordon's Celebration of the Arts, pianist Mia Chung is joined by violinists Elizabeth Larson and Susan Kim, violist Molly Carr, cellist Soo Bae and clarinetist Charles Neidich in a performance of two challenging works that show how instrumental music can aspire to spiritual transcendence: a newly commissioned work by Christopher Theofanidis inspired by T.S. Eliot's Four Quartets and Messiaen's extraordinary Quartet for the End of Time.
