Do you want to learn to play piano? Would you like to encourage your child musically? Are you interested in improving your singing voice?
The Community Music School at Gordon College is now accepting registrations for the Fall 2008 Semester. This new extension of the Gordon Department of Music is dedicated to making relevant musical instruction available, accessible and economical to the local community. Students of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to apply for the program, which pairs local community members with instructors from the Gordon student body. Students are matched with instructors and a unique curriculum is developed for each specific student's skill level and age. Hands-on learning opportunities include performing in staff/student recitals, using music composition and theory software, and attending world-class performances by Gordon faculty and guest artists.
Students may register for 30- or 60-minute weekly lessons. Registration enrolls a student for the entire semester (13 lessons). Instruction is not offered on a week-by-week basis, but new students may be accepted mid-semester as space is available.
