Career Services strives to assist all students to intentionally explore their God-given talents, to develop professional skills and to prepare for professional employment and/or advanced study through their academic study and co-curricular pursuits. In particular, Career Services seeks to:
increase students’ interests in career development, career planning and field or experiential learning experiences throughout their Gordon College years.
teach students and alumni proactive job search strategies.
inform students and alumni about the admissions and financial aid process for graduate and professional schools.
foster working relationships with faculty for referrals and information sharing regarding career development and job searching.
participate in public relations activities on-campus and off-campus to promote the programs and services of the Career Services Office.
develop relationships with employers for cooperative education, internships and full-time job placements for students and alumni.
facilitate job placements for students and alumni through the development of job search skills.
inform students and alumni about professional job opportunities.
provide professional job listings.
maintain an up-to-date career resource library that provides resources regarding liberal arts careers and job search information.
