Student Life

BEYOND THE LECTURE HALL
At Gordon, the experiences you have outside the classroom are shaped by the many opportunities offered by one of the nation's top Christian colleges. You can:

Learn to Lead
Lead the campus community by taking part in Residence Life or in the student government, GCSA (Gordon College Student Association). Other opportunities include:

  • College publications like:
    • the Tartan-our student newspaper
    • Hypernikon-our College yearbook
  • Student ministries
  • Other activities like the Gordon Film Society and History Alive!

Serve The Community
As a Christian college in Massachusetts, many ministry and service opportunities exist in your backyard and in nearby Boston. Gordon in Lynn--one of Gordon's distinctive off-campus programs--engages with the urban and multiethnic environment of Lynn by partnering with established organizations in the city. You will learn from the leaders of these organizations as well as contribute to the mission of reaching the inner city.

Gain Work Experience
The Student Employment office provides you with opportunities to work here on campus and in the surrounding community.

Play Inner-Tube Water Polo
Those who work hard must play hard. What better way to follow hitting the books then by joining an intramural team hosted by REC IM. Teams compete seasonally in sports such as Flag Football, basketball, canoeing and badminton.
