Gordon College Music Department to Present Jazz Ensemble Concert

WENHAM, MA-The Department of Music at Gordon College will present its Jazz Ensemble Spring Concert on Thursday, May 4, at 8:00 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall on the campus of Gordon College.

The event will feature the music of the big bands of Buddy Rich and Benny Goodman, along with jazz standards by George Gershwin, Erskine Hawkins, Dom Spera and Frank Mantooth. Student soloists will include trombonist Jeremy Lindgren performing a beautiful ballad, Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most, and singers Betsy DeJong and Katherine Olszewski singing many favorites including When You Wish Upon A Star, All the Things You Are and S'Wonderful.
