WENHAM, MA-Stillpoint, the magazine of Gordon College, recently received the Award of Excellence, the highest award given by the Evangelical Press Association (EPA), at its annual convention in May.
The Gordon publication, now in its 21st year, received the award in the Organizational category, competing with other college and organizational magazines. Members of the EPA produce over 300 periodical titles with a combined circulation of over 22 million.
The Award of Excellence honors overall excellence throughout a full calendar year of a publication. Stillpoint received the award for the three issues published in 2005-Spring 2005: Secular and Sacred; Summer 2005: Restore Creation; and Fall 2005: Translating Tradition-Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Move to Wenham. "All elements work together to make Stillpoint an outstanding publication that serves its audience well," stated an EPA judge overseeing the competition.
Stillpoint is published three times a year and has a circulation of over 26,000 readers. This is the fifth year in a row Stillpoint has received awards from the EPA and the second winning of the EPA's top honor, the Award of Excellence (2003).
