WENHAM, MA-The Next Generation: Contemporary Expressions of Faith, a national touring contemporary art exhibit featuring the work of 27 artists will be on display in the Barrington Gallery at Gordon College from July 1 through October 14, 2006.
The exhibition represents a spectrum of contemporary art, deriving its energy and subject matter from Biblical faith. The works were created in response to the question, "Exactly what is contemporary Judeo-Christian art?"
The exhibit, co-sponsored by Gordon College and CIVA (Christians in the Visual Arts), opened in August of 2005 at the new Museum of Biblical Art (MoBiA) in New York City and will be on display at select galleries across the country through 2008.
The Barrington Gallery, a modern and spacious art gallery, is open for public viewing Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibit is open to the public and admission is free.
For information on this exhibit or future exhibits, contact Bruce Herman, Gallery Director, in the Barrington Center for the Arts at 978.927.2300.
