La Vida Adventure Camp Awarded "Best Summer Camp" By CNC's Readership

WENHAM, MA-The La Vida Adventure Camp, received "First Place" naming the Gordon College program "Best Summer Camp" north of Boston by the 2006 Reader's Choice Awards.

Residents nominate their favorite places, businesses and services, providing the local community a voice to publicly thank the businesses and services that bring outstanding service and value to the region. The Reader's Choice Awards are held annually and announce the region's top-rankings in over 70 categories- from best entertainment venues and restaurants, to hospitals and car dealerships.

The popular kid-focused adventure camp received the Gold Award this year-the most prestigious honor awarded in the North of Boston Regional Favorites Category. This is the second consecutive year Gordon's LaVida Adventure Camp has received recognition from residents of the Commonwealth for their camp program. Last year, the LaVida Adventure camp took Silver in the 2005 Readers Choice Awards. The Reader's Choice Awards are sponsored by Community Newspaper Company (CNC), a subsidiary of Herald Media. Thousands of votes were tallied since the competition opened in January. Winners were announced throughout CNC's newspaper publications today.
