WENHAM, MA– The Gordon College Symphonic Chorale will perform a spring choral concert on Sunday, May 3, at 7 p.m. at the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Chapel, 130 Essex Street in South Hamilton.

The concert will include Mozart's Coronation Mass and Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs for baritone and chorus, along with some presentations on the two works. "In addition to performing these pieces, we'll be taking a look at how the composers set these texts to music, and the relationships of text and music and expression of faith across time," says Ellen Gilson Voth, conductor of the chorale and a music faculty member at Gordon. "The Seminary Chapel is a wonderful venue for a concert like this, and we are very glad for the opportunity to perform there."

The Chorale is an ensemble comprised of Gordon College students, alumni, faculty and staff, and members of the North Shore community. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Gordon College Music Department at 978.867.4549.
