WENHAM, MA- The Fighting Scots of Gordon College recently earned The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Team Sportsmanship award for three Spring team sports. This year, a total of seven Fighting Scots varsity athletic teams received the award.

The Team Sportsmanship Award is voted by member coaches from each sport and is awarded to the team which exemplifies the highest sportsmanship in both victory and/or defeat.

This spring, the Fighting Scots women's lacrosse team, softball team, and men's tennis teams were each honored by The Commonwealth Coast Conference with the awards.

Earlier in the academic year, both the men's and women's cross country team along with the women's tennis team earned the Team Sportsmanship awards for fall sports, and in the winter season, the women's basketball team took the honor.  The collective seven Team Sportsmanship Awards for the Fighting Scots at Gordon College was the highest total for any of the 14 TCCC member institutions.
