Gordon Named a "Best Buy" In College Education By Barron's

WENHAM, MA-Gordon College was recently named a "Best Buy" in the ninth edition of "Barron's Best Buys in College Education." Barron's Best Buys features institutions that provide an excellent education at an affordable price, and Gordon, the only nondenominational Christian liberal arts college in New England, is one of only 247 colleges and universities nationwide to receive this distinction.

Gordon is also one of only six schools selected from the state of Massachusetts-a state that is home to more than 100 colleges and universities.Gordon was selected based on its quality academic programs, successful graduate rate, overall student satisfaction, facilities, competitive tuition, and the questionnaire results submitted by current students and the academic dean.

According to the ninth edition of "Barron's Best Buys in College Education," the publication strives to "…tap institutions in every state and of nearly every size, religious affiliation, student quality, and academic orientation to obtain a final list … that presented the best values to suit a wide range of student abilities and interests."

Earlier this year, Gordon was included in the 2006 edition of "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report-listed among the 160 best liberal arts colleges nation wide. Gordon was the only nationally ranked Christian liberal arts college in New England and one of only seven Christian colleges in the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities ranked nationwide.
