WENHAM, MAThe 2013 edition of America's Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report has listed Gordon among the nation's best liberal arts colleges. Gordon is the only nationally ranked Christian college in New England and the fourth among Christian colleges in the CCCU (Council for Christian Colleges and Universities) ranked nation-wide.

U.S. News & World Report assesses hundreds of liberal arts colleges based on several key measures of quality including academic peer assessment, faculty resources, graduation and retention rates, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving, graduation rate performance and—for National Liberal Arts Colleges—high school counselor ratings of colleges. The U.S. News  formula uses quantitative measures that education experts have proposed as reliable indicators of academic quality, and a researched view of what matters in education. The indicators include input measures that reflect a school's student body, its faculty, and its financial resources, along with outcome measures that signal how well the institution does its job of educating students.

U.S. News & World Report provides exclusive rankings of over 1,400 schools and provides helpful tips for college bound students. Of all categories ranked by this publication, the liberal arts listing is considered among the most competitive. Gordon has continually received strong rankings within this category in recent years.
