Wind Ensemble and The Symphonic Band Perform Special February Concert

WENHAM, MA - The Gordon College Wind Ensemble and the Gordon College Symphonic Band will team up for a winter performance at 7 p.m., Saturday February 11 in the A.J. Gordon Memorial Chapel.

Under the direction of Dr. David Rox, the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will feature works by Mark Camphouse, Ron Nelson, John Barnes Chance, Aaron Copland and Guy Woolfenden.

The Wind Ensemble is the largest touring ensemble in the Music Department. It is made up of select, talented musicians from all areas of the student body. This group performs a varied repertoire, from classical to wind band pieces, marches, sacred works and orchestral transcriptions.

The Symphonic Band is made up of nearly 70 members from the Gordon College and surrounding community. It performs standard classical works, marches and medleys.

Admission for this special event is $11 for adults and $8 for seniors and children under 12. Tickets are now available for purchase on our secure website at www.gordon.edu, or in the Gordon College Bookstore. A limited quantity of tickets will also be available at the door.
