Gordon History Professor Joins Alexander Hamilton Panel Discussion at Hamilton Wenham Library

WENHAM, MA -The Hamilton Weham Public Library will host a public reception and viewing of the traveling exhibition, "Alexander Hamilton: The Man Who Made Modern America" on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 from 6-7 p.m. Additionally, the Hamilton Historical Society, in partnership with the Council on Aging, will sponsor an expert panel discussion, consisting of experts from Gordon College, Salem State College, Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School and the Woods Hole Sea Education Association. The panel will discuss "The Age of Alexander Hamilton" and will take place on Monday, March 20, from 7-9 p.m. at the Hamilton-Wenham Library.

David Goss, A Beverly resident and adjunct history faculty member at Gordon College, will be one of the panelist for this special event. Goss is also a lead guitar player and vocalist for The 2nd South Carolina String Band -one of the most active and popular Civil War camp bands in America and was featured in the film "Gods and Generals".

Goss has served on the faculty at Gordon since 1999. His courses include American History Survey; Public History and Museum Studies; Puritans and the New England Experience; Pathway to Revolution; and The American Civil War.
