WENHAM, MA—The Council of Independent Colleges recently named Victoria Jackowski ’13 from Clinton Corners, New York, recipient of the Dorothea M. Waterbury Scholarship. Jackowski has received the award, which totals $10,000 over two years, for being a first-generation college student.

“I am very honored to be a recipient of this scholarship, especially because it ensures that I will be able to return to Gordon and continue working towards being the first member of my family to receive a college diploma,” says Jackowski.

Jackowski is an elementary education and linguistics double major at Gordon College. Outside of the classroom she enjoys playing intramural sports and working in the Student Financial Services Office at Gordon.
