WENHAM, MA - The Gordon College Choir, Symphonic Chorale, Women's Choir and the Children's Choir will perform a festival of choral music on Saturday, March 25, at 7 p.m. in the A.J. Gordon Memorial Chapel.

The program will feature choral works from the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, including works by Mozart, Haydn, Randall Thompson, Aaron Copland, and John Rutter. Also included on the program will be spirituals and folk songs from around the world, including traditional music from the Caribbean, Africa, and Americas.

The Gordon College Choir is the College's premier touring choral group, the flagship of Gordon's musical ensembles, and one of the premier choral groups on the East Coast. The 60-voice choir regularly tours through New England and the eastern seaboard performing a variety of standard choral literature and major choral orchestral literature.

The Gordon Symphonic Chorale is Gordon's largest choral ensemble, comprised of current undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni and other friends of the college and is led by conductor C. Thomas Brooks.

The Gordon College Women's Choir is one of the major ensembles of the Music Department. This auditioned group of 40-50 singers performs in concert throughout the school year, most notably at the annual Christmas Gala and Pops Concert. The Women's Choir is directed by Faith Lueth, one of the top music educators in Massachusetts.

The Gordon College Children's Choir is in its fourth year in residence at Gordon. Led by Sandra Doneski, Assistant Professor of Music, children in first through eighth grade from surrounding North Shore communities come together weekly to experience the excitement and beauty of the choral art.

Admission for this special event is $11 for adults and $8 for seniors and children under 12. Tickets are now available for purchase on our secure website at www.gordon.edu, or in the Gordon College Bookstore. A limited quantity of tickets will also be available at the door.
