WENHAM, MA-Gordon College recently donated much needed fiber optic equipment to Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS). Located in the Philippine Islands, the seminary underwent a complete re-design of its computer networking system to improve security and reliability. The effort was accomplished by a team of volunteers over a three week period.
Russell Leathe, director of network and computer operations at Gordon, facilitated the equipment donation. He said the process was "a unique way to be part of fulfilling the Great Commission, which is something those of us who work in technology all day long don't always feel we do." Leathe said the opportunity arose as the result of his work with an IT consultant who was also involved with the seminary.
