North Shore Community Invited to Christmas at Gordon!

"Christmas at Gordon is a great place to bring children and grandchildren and let them experience gifts that don't come from a store."
—Jan Carlberg, First Lady of Gordon College

Hayrides. Carols. Hot chocolate. Each is a part of this year’s celebration of Christmas at Gordon, December 1–4, which will welcome neighbors, families and friends across the North Shore.

A fun and festive way for the whole family to celebrate the season, Christmas at Gordon on the Wenham campus includes a tree lighting, community carol sing, traditional hayrides, a special exhibit and a Christmas Gala concert. A week later on December 11, Fezziwig’s Christmas Ball at the Old Town Hall in Salem will offer an unforgettable evening of dance and Christmas merriment from the era of Dickens, sponsored by Gordon College’s Institute for Public History.

“One gift we hope to give to the community on and off campus this year is an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the season,” says Gordon College’s first lady, Jan Carlberg. "We want to make time for cookies, hot chocolate, carol singing and concerts.

The Gordon College Student Association (GCSA) in conjunction with Campus Events Council and Homeless Ministries will also be collecting coats for kids December 1–15. Donations can be dropped off outside the GSCA Office on the first floor of Lane Student Center.

“I appreciate that many of these events are a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas,” said Carlberg. “We love having the North Shore community on campus year after year to celebrate with us.”
