A. J. Gordon Scholarship

APPLICATION AND SELECTION CRITERIA

After fulfilling all College admission requirements, top students are awarded our premier A. J. Gordon Scholarship on the basis of academic achievement, and church and community involvement. Scholarship recipients are automatically invited to participate in an on-campus Honors Program Day during their senior year in high school (held in February and/or March).

Initial Selection Criteria for A. J. Gordon Scholarships

  • Must apply by January 1; notification by January 15
  • Exceptional academic qualifications; visit the Gordon College Cost Estimator for freshmen and transfers to check your qualification.

Ongoing Criteria

  • Renewable based on 3.30 GPA
  • Full-time resident student status
  • Demonstrating an eager desire to explore fruitful connections between faith, academics and community life
  • Completing The Great Conversations First-Year Honor Seminar (full year)
  • Adherence to Gordon's Life and Conduct standards

A. J. Gordon Fellows Program

A handful of students selected as A. J. Gordon Scholars will be invited to participate in the A. J. Gordon Fellows Program based on leadership potential and a desire for creative academic exploration. Fellows will receive the added benefits of advanced advising and targeted personal development as well as social and personal networking with other Fellows, campus leaders, and visiting scholars. This close-knit group of Fellows will participate in an Honors Seminar course and meet on a regular basis to encourage and challenge one another intellectually and spiritually.
