Where did you grow up? I grew up in Wethersfield, Connecticut, which is about two hours south of Gordon, near Hartford.
Coolest place you’ve traveled? Rome, Italy. I went several times when I studied abroad through the Gordon in Orvieto program because the city was so accessible to us. The visible juxtaposition of ancient (including several locations important to Biblical history!) and contemporary culture was fascinating to me on many levels.
Favorite class as a Gordon student? My favorite class was Art and Spirituality in the Middle Ages, taught by Dr. Jennifer Hevelone-Harper. Learning about history through the study of imagery and accompanying literature was interesting and really unique.
What is your favorite book and what would be your ice cream of choice while reading? My favorite book is Deep River, by Shusaku Endo and I love banana ice cream with hot fudge from Captain Dusty’s—I highly recommend it!
What’s your favorite thing to do on campus? Keep up my caffeine addiction and sample the many amazing espresso drinks offered at Claymore Café!
Why was Gordon the best fit for you? I grew holistically here. I feel strongly that my intellectual capacity and faith were deeply expanded and nurtured.
